HostingCon Exhibitor Dasient Closes 1st Round Funding

Congratulations to Dasient!  TechCrunch reported that web security firm closed $2 million in 1st round funding.  The Company provides services that protect websites from web-based malware attacks that cause losses of traffic, reputation, and revenue.

Neil Daswani, Dasient founder and former web security engineer at Google, will be speaking at HostingCon.  His session “Mitigating Malware Attacks” will discuss the alarming trends on this topic, discuss how it affects web-hosting providers and their customers, and provide an interactive case study.  The case study will walk through how web hosting providers can use freely available tools such as Google Safe Browsing Diagnostics, Webmaster Tools provided by Google and MSN, and Blacklist Doctor to identify which of their domains are infected, ferret out malicious code on their platform and on customer sites, and prevent such infections from happening again.

HostingCon attendees can also stop by booth #312 to learn more about Dasient and their offerings for web hosts and ISPs.
